Home > Bulleit Straight Rye Whiskey (750 ML) BAERGRIZZ 1 Review(s) 11 months ago Good rye at this price point For the money, this is a great rye. If you want something special, you're probably going to look elsewhere, and for something at least 2x the price. But, for a solid everyday rye, this one is good to keep on hand. Joe 1 Review(s) 1 year ago Will not ever purchase again.

May just our it down the drain. I was very disapointed. The product seems unfinished and had a paint thinner aftertaste. sixthecat 10 Review(s) 1 year ago Great rye. There's a little shift of flavor year to year, but for the price this stuff is GREAT. Has a nice sting on the rocks and some delicious maraschino flavor that comes through. One of my favorite everyday ryes. Works just as well in a Manhattan as on the rocks.

RICHARD 1 Review(s) 1 year ago It's Good I'm normally a scotch guy but wanted to try newer American whiskeys . All in all it's nice straight and chilled. If you like scotch you might find it has a sweet taste. Many here say spicy and it is but also notes of vanilla. It's a good whiskey. L RICHARD 1 Review(s) 2 years ago Excellent This Rye has a slight spice taste. It is very smooth, and very little burn.

An excellent sipping whiskey straight or with ice. Alexander A. Guest User Review(s) 2 years ago Nice but very young I think rye whiskeys have a tremendous future. This one taste very different from your everyday corn based bourbon (drier-spicier-bolder) but unfortunately has not much to offer in terms of flavor. In my opinion it is simply too young and the ones with long cask maturation are super expensive and hard to find so the general public is left with the likes of Bulleit and others.

Conclusion: For the money a good quality bourbon still rules. JIM B. Guest User Review(s) 2 years ago Bulleit Rye a must try for Manhattan drinkers I'm a longtime Manhattan drinker. Jim Beam Black has been my go to bourbon, with Evan Williams added lately. Never tried a rye. This Bulleit Rye is a must try for anyone who like Manhattans. I've read that rye has a "bite" and is "spicey".

Believe me, no bite to this Bulleit rye. There is a unique flavor to this rye; hard to describe, but definitely a nice match with the bitters and Vermouth in a Manhattan. Also very smooth sipped neat. Try it. WILLIAM B. Guest User Review(s) 2 years ago Great Rye Whisk(e)y! Long-time drinker of Scotch (Highland Park 12 is my "house brand" - what I serve if a guest doesn't specifiy a brand).

Don't drink much American Whiskey (too sweet). Recently bought a bottle of Bulleit Rye to make Classic Manhattans for a party. Had to try it neat. Loved it. I have since purchased several other (more expensive) ryes, but Bulleit remains my favorite. I am not a connoissuer, so my review is simple: it is young, bold and spicey. It does lack the refinement of age, but that's why I'm drinking rye! It is my "house brand" rye (for now).

Edward M. Guest User Review(s) 2 years ago Great Rye I’m new to Rye Whisky. I have definitely sampled many Bourbons. Heard that Rye was the ultimate “American Whisky” as far as taste and smell. I purchased Bulleit Straight Rye Whiskey and I was quite pleasantly surprised, I drank it both neat and on the rocks and it definitely had good character and it has a scent that drove me crazy.

After finishing the bottle much sooner than expected I tried various other brands that Bev Mo sells like Old Overholt and Jim Beam Rye and both couldn’t compare to the great flavor and taste and scent of Bulleit Straight Rye Whiskey. If you want to try Rye Whisky you should try Bulleit Straight Rye Whiskey you won’t be disappointed. SCOTT M. Guest User Review(s) 2 years ago Best tasting Whiskey under $25 Highest recommendation.

Won't find a better tasting Whiskey for under $25. Daniel R. Guest User Review(s) 2 years ago Excellent rye. Had to give this a try, as I was already a fan of Bulleit Bourbon. Not a lot I can say that hasn't already been said here and elsewhere, but if you want a good, solid rye you can mix or even sip (neat or on the rocks, it doesn't mind) give this a go. ALAN H. Guest User Review(s) 2 years ago Satisfying Spicy yet smooth.

High quality ethanol. ERIC S. Guest User Review(s) 2 years ago Smooth Very smooth and great tasting James S. Guest User Review(s) 2 years ago Great for Manhattans. This is my first and only experience with rye whiskey. I used to put bourbon in my manhattans until I recently had one with rye. This particular rye whiskey was used and now I use it for my manhattans. Rye has a drier taste than bourbon which works better for when you add the sweet vermouth.

The rye also provides a spicy flavor which you do not get with bourbon. It's all a matter of preference of course, but my personal recommendation would be to use the rye for Manhattans. It's a very good whiskey in my opinion, but I have nothing to compare it with. IRA G. Guest User Review(s) 2 years ago Welcome to an authentic American drink. If you haven't tried rye whiskey you really should.

You know those old movies where the hard boiled private eye goes into a bar and orders a whiskey? It was rye that he threw down. Start with a bottle of Jim Beam rye, then try the Bulleit. This well made, full proof whiskey will raise your highball to the next level. I like to mix it with Hanson's ginger ale, which isn't as syrupy sweet as Canada Dry or even Vernor's. Makes a nice tall drink. RICHARD T.

Guest User Review(s) 2 years ago Best value in rye and a delicious whiskey I would score this 4 and 1/2 stars, with the only 5 star rye being Anchor Old Potrero. Wonderfully herbal and spicy with a mildly sweet finish. I am primarily a scotch and irish whisky drinker and I drink this the same way, with just a splash of water. And if you try this in a Manhattan you will never enjoy a bourbon based Manhattan ever again.

Please wait...

For anyone who is thinking of entering into the small business of marketing wholesale merchandise at retail prices, the first thing that comes to intellect is, exactly where do I receive the wholesale goods from? The next consideration will be, which wholesalers or fall shippers am i able to rely on?

Absent are the days when gentlemen would just wear just about anything they had during the closet. As of late, adult men are only as style conscious as females, and they are prepared to expend money to buy the garments they like. The truth is, loads of gentlemen want to buy model identify clothing for the reason that these are generally guaranteed to be of fine good quality and style. Should they should purchase branded mens wear at wholesale prices, then they will go out and purchase much more of those cost-effective high-quality clothing.

Bulleit Bourbon Barrel Strength started as a KY only release focused on the on-premise market and with its success it’s expanded beyond the bar and into the home… namely my home. Which is where I tasted this sample of mystery whiskey and I have to say… I like it. They should make this a regular thing; if the stocks of Old Grand-Dad can hold out that is (for those just tuning in, I think Jim Beam is Bulleit’s current contract distiller).

In Bulleit’s Words: Bulleit Bourbon Barrel Strength “Bulleit Barrel Strength is medium-amber in color, with gentle spiciness and sweet oak aromas. The mid-palate is smooth with tones of maple, oak and nutmeg.  The finish is long, dry, and satiny with light toffee flavors, and deepened oak notes.” That’s their take on this whiskey and if you’re curious about mine, and why wouldn’t you be, hop on down to the Bulleit Bourbon Barrel Strength review below.

OVERALLBulleit Bourbon Barrel Strength is good, no scratch that, it’s great stuff.

This is the type of bourbon I want to drink all the time and I think that someone, cough Beam cough, really dropped the ball here. Whoever distilled this excellent high rye whiskey could have made a mint releasing this cask strength offering themselves. This is good stuff. It’s absolutely true that Bulleit (Diageo) could be sourcing from multiple sources to make their bourbon and if that’s true then I feel like a significant portion has to be from Beam.

I get so many similarities in this and the current Bulleit release to OGD that it has to be more than mere coincidence. Partner this “coincidence” with the fact that Beam has been reducing their public output of OGD and too many things line up for it be a mere coincidence. Regardless, this is good whiskey and should you get the chance, try it. SCORE: 90/100 (A-) *Disclosure: This Bulleit Bourbon Barrel Strength sample was graciously sent to me by the company for the purposes of this review.
