Ch Cattle Price List

Prices for Glade Spring, Va.

C.H. Cattle Co.

CH Cattle Company began as Craig Hammond’s childhood dream. From raising Holstein bulls on a bottle at age 8 to handling thousands of head of cattle per year, his dream has turned into a life and a reality.

Located in the hills and valleys of Southwest Virginia, CH Cattle Company was built from scratch in 1999. Our company is a diversified cattle operation which consists of order buying, back grounding, grazing and our new weekly calf take-up day. Whether our orders are for a local farmer wanting 20 head or a Midwest feed yards receiving thousands of head, we are committed to making sure everyone is 100% satisfied in every transaction. Honesty, integrity, hard work, and repeat customers are what we strive for and are a must in this business. Today CH Cattle is a leader in organizing and getting the most value for your animal from the stocker stage, on to feeder and finishing stage.

CH Cattle Company, in alliance with Fredin Brothers out of Springfield, Minnesota, has formed a local buying facility in the southwestern Virginia region. The process begins when the producer brings the cattle directly to Craig’s facility in Glade Spring. The cattle are then unloaded, sorted, and weighed. Prices of cattle are determined the day prior to weigh in and can be viewed online under Price List or call CH Cattle at (276) 429-9064 or (276) 429-5544. There are three different grades depending on the quality of cattle. All calves, yearlings, slaughter cows and bulls will be accepted. Cattle will be weighed EVERY WEDNESDAY FROM 7:00 A.M. TO 1:00 P.M. Checks are issued immediately after this process.

This weigh up program began in August of 2010 and has been success thus far. It allows local producers with the sale of their cattle in getting farm-fresh cattle directly to the farm or feedlot. We feel this process is such a great benefit for the producer and for the feeder due to less stress on the cattle and the many health issues that can occur during marketing. This weekly weigh up has been well-received by local farmers and continues to grow. With any further questions on the weigh up, contact Craig at (276) 429-9064 or (276) 429-5544.
